Palatine is a political science-fiction roleplaying game about the exercise of power, institutional decay, and the slow decomposition of an galactic empire that refuses to die.

The players take on the roles of the High Council of a pivotal world within the Dominion: rulers, supreme bureaucrats, military leaders, religious authorities, and popular icons. They are not adventurers or rebels, but those who sign decrees, negotiate alliances, sacrifice colonies, and decide which truths must be buried so that order may endure one more day.

Each session revolves around the Palatine Council, where internal crises and external threats are debated, favors and obligations are exchanged, and decisions are made that affect millions of lives. Consequences are never immediate nor clean: the population suffers, resources are depleted, and the price of power is always collected in the end.

Palatine is a narrative game inspired by Powered by the Apocalypse–style systems, focused on politics, conflict management, and the moral weight of governance. It explores corruption, faith, propaganda, attrition, and legacy. Not how the Empire thrives, but how it persists through inertia alone.

The Dominion watches. The people murmur. Time advances. And you decide what must be sacrificed to keep everything standing.

This game has been created for the Cyber Punk Jam 012 in a rush, therefore is far from perfect, more like a rough prototype. Any feedback, constructive cryticism or suggestions are more than welcome.

EDIT: I have added the booklets as a separate file.

Haven't played, just read through quickly. Looks nicely detailed and easy to follow- setting and premise really cool. Well laid out with use of illustrations but feel it might deserve a little more in that department! Hope to give it a proper go some time

Thank you! The pictures are doodles I do myself. Art is usually quite expensive and AI is out of the question so have to manage it amateurishly.

Looks great! I'll definitely try it out

Thank you! Don't forget to tell me how it went!

Love the idea, will give it a go.

The cover is rad!

Thanks! I did it myself.

I have to think a way of rewarding you and your group for your loyalty and dedication!

Hello, may I ask who did the cover art for your game?

I did!

I am preparing a making off article about it.

thank you!

Here.
