I wish the English language support was more straightforward like being auto enabled according to active bios region or something, just like normal multi-region genesis games.

Incredible fighting game, this would have lit the world on fire back in the MegaDrive's heyday! Definitely at least to me better than some of the other top fighters on there. Works phenomenal on my Miyoo Mini+

essa é a versão final ou vai ter mais alguma atualização ?

Excellent game with solid mechanics and interesting aesthetics. Really appreciate the training mode as extremely few Genesis games have that.

Well done !

For some reason, on keyboard i can only use kicks and roll, i cannot do the punches at all... why is that?

Okay i did fix it, kind of, i needed to use bizhawk, config to allow 6 button and that was it, but previously i was using retroarch to try the game, the thing i was forgetting about was going into quick menu > core options > input > input device > select 6 button pad... however, i still dont have everything, it did unlock the taunt button and the lp button, but you cant use hard punches, the button that was supposed to be a hard punch is also a LP, weird stuff.

É praticamente impossível vencê-los jogando no nível normal. Acredito que não sou só eu que estou passando essa dificuldade. Pois jogando no nível normal eu consegui vencer todos os outros personagens sem precisar usar nenhum continue, mas quando chega no Abobo, parece que o nível sobre para Hardest do nada. Poderia verificar?

@UsagiRu

I updated the firmware on my Mega Everdrive to v.24.1213 (Latest) and tested again, unfortunately with the same results.

Beta v.05

  • Retrobit 6-button wired (works)
  • Retrobit SF Edition 6-button wired (works)
  • Sega Official 6-button (works)

Final v.1.6

  • Retrobit 6-button wired (doesn't work)
  • Retrobit SF Edition 6-button wired (works)
  • Sega Official 6-button (works)

Some Observations:

I noticed that in the beta, the normal Retrobit 6-button doesn't skip the intro screens with the Start button, like you can normally, but it does work on the menus and in-game. I don't know if there's some sort of check being made when the ROM boots or during the intro screens (notices/Hamoopig/Arc/Technos screens) but I know I can skip those with the SF Retrobit controller (I believe that's supposed to work that way) but cannot with the normal Retrobit 6-button but the Sega official 6-button is working after the update to the new Everdrive firmware.

I'm on real hardware using an HDG Model 1 VA6 with a Mega Everdrive with firmware v.24.1213

Separate Note

Please speak with the Fightcade team, to add this game to their list of games. It deserves to get play, it's a great little title. You and your team did a great job, I'd love to see this get into rotation in the Fightcade 16-bit Fight Game Community.

This game is great! Incredible work here!

There's an issue I found:

The recent version 1.6 doesn't work with some controllers

Hardware: Model 1 HDG w/MegaEverdrive

  • Original Sega 6-button pad (doesn't work)
  • Retrobit 6-button pad - black (doesn't work)
  • Street Fighter Ryu Edition Retrobit 6-button (works)

I also have the Beta v.05 on the same Mega Everdrive, this does allow all the controllers. Something happened/changed between then and the final release that is causing some sort of conflict with some controllers.

Thanks for the feedback, this is really strange, because nothing was changed about the controls from one version to another that could have caused this, I will investigate what happened

Possibly related to https://github.com/Stephane-D/SGDK/issues/363. We've had similar issues with Retrobit controllers in our games.

A friend sent me a video playing version 1.6 normally on a Chinese Everdrive V3 with original controller, I really don't know what could be happening...

Check my updated. The Sega Official is now working as expected. It's only the Retrobit Wired 6-button (black). My Street Fighter Retrobit 6-button works perfectly. That same Retrobit Black Wired 6-button works with the Beta, but not the final release. Tested this morning.

Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho! Um jogaço!

Adorei. Parabéns pelo trabalho. Vou continuar acompanhando

Maravilha ^^

When choosing characters, it is better to display the character name in the game

I just wanted to test the game on my Pal MD2. Unfortunately it does not work on a standard Everdrive. The size of the Rom is too big.  Please release a reduced version that is compatible with the requirements of the original hardware. 🙏

Sorry, but the game is compatible with Chinese Everdrives V3. The game is at the size limit, so there's nothing to trim. If possible, get an Everdrive V3 or higher.

Very nice video game, fast , with a Japanese anime manga drawing style 90s. One thing I would improve, the balance of the fighters. Sometimes some fighters are more advantaged than others. For the rest very nice. I hope for a final version. Congratulations.
ps: Consider Seriously Starting a Kickstarter

Several modifications have been made, the final version is close

Wowowowo! That's great... As soon as the final version comes out I will try it. I hope also in a physical version on cartridge. Congratulations.

Como faço pra contribuir financeiramente o projeto?

(1 edit) (-1)

Can you assign BLOCK to the one of buttons (A,B,C,X,Y or Z)? Current BACK on D-pad not very practical :(

Or maybe reassign Z-button (which trigger idle animation and boost RAGE ART - and I not really understand how to use it) to MODE button and add BLOCK to Z-button ?

The C and Z buttons have the following functions: Dodge, useful for dodging attacks, you can use side dodge without moving, or roll, if you are hit in the air, you can fall rolling, and the other button is the Counter function - attack, when you are on defense and receive an enemy attack, press the button to push the opponent away (consumes Rage Art bar)

OK. I get now the functions of C-button. But what about BLOCK function? Can you assign BLOCK to Z-button, and current Z-button function assign to MODE-button?

Block in almost all fighting games, excluding mortal kombat and soul calibur, uses 4 or back to block, this is practially standard for the 2d fighting game genre, its clunky to get used to if you're transitioning from games LIKE mortal kombat or soul calibur but i hope you eventually get to this style of controls considering this is pretty much the same no matter where you go :)

(1 edit)

Oh, I see... I used to Mortal Kombat style buttons layout. I guess it would be helpful to have a list of all actions-buttons combination to the game.

heard about this game ever planned porting it on other platform in the future good game btw?

There is a PS2 version

why i never heard about that port and you guys even will port it to more platforms  like the psp?

Hi all! Well done game bomb. Keep up the good work, we look forward to updates. It would be cool if they added a cheerleader with pom-poms and a few more minor characters, robots for example)

I still don't know how to expand the rom size above 4mb, as soon as I find out, more characters will be added :)

Even if this had a treasure logo, it would still be surprisingly good, keep going!

Awesome game !
