Roman Chess

This is a simple tabletop, turn based game - the ancient roman game of Latrunculi!

I wrote this game because of two reasons:

1. other available iteration of this game on android store were awesome! But every one of them lacked one or two key elements that would make them perfect
2. none of the available versions of the game had rules, that were adequate for tournaments

Like with most older tabletop games, there are more variants of them. And this is what we think came down from the antiquity to us: part of different game variants.

This means, there does not exist one single rule set for this game: and the ones that do exist, are not suitable for tournaments, since you cannot force a win.

Thankfully, there is a person who made a variant just for that: Latrunculi XXI , byJose Manuel Carrillo-Muniz in 2015.

So, what does this game offer?

• three game variants: basic, basic plus and XXI
• two board sizes
• nice OST
• three AI tiers
• online multiplayer
• easter eggs

This game is basically just a proof of concept. There are probably a lot of bugs. Please, report them so I can fix them!
