Hi, if you're interested, I assure you that your resources will be used on a completed project.

If you'd like to participate in the project, I'd be happy to invite you.

I bought the pack for my project, and absolutely not regretting !
Thanks a lot ! :)

(+1)

Thank you!

Good morning! First of all, congratulations on your work, your art turned out amazing, but I've been struggling for a few days haha, I couldn't figure out the size of the ground tilesets and in general to adapt them to my project. Could you give me some clarification about this?

Hello! Thank you. All the tiles are 16x16 pixels

Well, honestly, I struggle to get anything done, especially if it's just using the green part of the map, haha. Since I'm still a beginner, I'll keep struggling, but I'll make it work.

You can ignore it lololololol I managed to find the hidden tile which is just the green square lololololol

All fine. Glad the problem is now fixed

(+1)

Hello, I'd like to use your resources for my project with huge maps.

I was wondering if donating would be considered inappropriate and violate your terms if I don't contribute $2 USD.

I'll give you credit because your resources are excellent; I just remixed some of mine.

If you could clarify this for me in a few hours or days, it would help me plan things better.

If you're interested in any treatise on mutual advertising, we can discuss it because, let me tell you, I'm impressed with your resources.

(+1)

If you sell your game, or if your game has direct donations inside of it that you make money from (so the donations that are not charity), or just generally directly promotes something that you make money from, then you need to pay $2. If a game has a link to a patreon, or something like that, I wouldn't consider it as a direct promotion. If the link is just there (e.g. in the beginning of a game and at the end) and not promoted 'aggressively' (e.g. it's not over the whole screen for some time and doesn't take most of the player's attention, and doesn't have something like "If you want more games from me, subscribe to my patreon"), it's allowed.

If you have any more questions, or something is unclear, feel free to ask

Hi, I'd like to commission a project from you.

It's simple and uses the same resources and style.

Can we discuss it on Discord or here?

We can discuss it here, if you're fine with it

I'd like to place a quick and easy order.

Did you see those trees you designed?

I'd like to commission tree-felling animations for them.

I'd also like to see if we can arrange an order for some other resources, like wooden barricades, walls, etc.

In other words, I need a package of 12 building resources plus animation for my 2D shooter game.

Could you describe more what you mean by tree-felling? Do I need  to animate the trees being cut, the character cutting animation, and character idle and run animations with the axe? And could you describe more of which  building resources you need and how should they look? Here's link to my fiverr https://www.fiverr.com/s/ljBmqaa. You can write to me there and I can make a custom order to you, if you're fine with it (By the way, I on purpose put a very high price on my fiverr: It's to lower the number of requests I get. Price to you will be lower)

Hola.

This pack is awesome it has everything i want and MORE. I couldn't have asked for something this good!! I am at disbelief that this pack is FREE for all of the assets and stuff I'm getting. Most itch.io creators would make this at least 30$ Thank you so much for this amazing pack. Your 100% getting a follow from me. I would Critique some things in this pack... but how could I this pack is GREAT.

Thank you so much

That's very nice of you. I'm happy you're liking it

Do you plan on adding more zombie variants?

I actually was working on them, 10 new variants and I think they looked much better then the ones in the pack, but then I stopped because I focused on some other things. I decided to revisit and finish them recently, but a few months ago I decided to format my drive to clean it, and even though i thought i saved everything i needed to cloud, apparently it didn't transfer well, and so I lost about 70 hours of work. It's ok, I just dont really want to work on it now

Hi, thanks for the assets. They fit my game perfect (I have purchased version)

During development, I ran into an issue with the correct placement of firearms on character. Ive attached two pictures. Can you please tell me which one is correct and reflects your vision? (Left placement or rigth)

p.s diff Y position because playing idle animation

Thank you for using the assets

The second image (where the pistol is on the character's right) is the right position

ok,muchas gracias

First of all great asset pack thanks for your work.

As far as I could tell there is no grave or something like that? It would be nice and would totally match the theme. If you could add a gravestone and a cross which could be placed separately or in a combination with a grave. What I mean is a kind of earth pile, like a freshly dug grave.

Thank you for your feedback.

I overall somewhat abandoned the pack.  I did a lot of new enemies and accessories for characters (it supposed to be a new enemy pack and an NPC pack), but still haven't finished them yet. Maybe I will return to making it. Grave is a good idea. I will work on it I think

To i want to use this for my small indie rougelite game could i use it?

Yes

Thanks bro :)

Hi, would you be able to reachout to me on x/twitter? I am having trouble using the pack on gamemaker. Do you have an atlas or to where this pack is on a tileset? All images are varying sizes and I can't get it to work on gamemaker. Thanks.

Hi, sorry for not answering sooner.

I'm not good at gamedev, so i dont think i could help you with this

Ola, achei seu pack muuto bom, perfeito, entretanto teria como você dar mais exemplos de como usar os tiles, é muito material.

I don't even know where to start thanking you, I love you ❤️

Thanks alot ❤️

Thank you

De las cosas mas completas y maravillosas que he visto aqui. Felicitaciones

Magnificent work, thank you!

I also have a question: are your tilesets supposed to be used with autotiling? I tried to make a bitmask for grass, but that was unsuccessful. Maybe I'm doing it wrong...

(+1)

I dont really know how autotiling works, but i did not create the tilesets with autotiling in mind

I’m making a game with your awesome assets! I really hope you’ll keep updating them, and I’m super thankful for all your work.

/itch/digitaldogg/escape-from-midgard

Thank you, LazyStone! I used this pack for my demo and it worked great.
Demo on itch: Survival after the end. by Survivalaftertheend
Highly recommended!

(+1)

I would kill to be able to make assets this good.  You are the best pixel artist I have ever seen!

Well, that's exactly what i did to make it this good.

But in all seriousness - thank you for the very nice words. Though, i dont think you saw enough pixel artists, because there so many artists that are so much better then me.

Thank you though, that put a smile on my face.

What do you mean, man?!  This art is incredible, and some of the best I have ever seen--not joking.  I have been working on a video game for quite a while now, but I just can't get the pixel art tiles right.  Its so difficult.  On top of that, every time I look at somebody elses, I just see how bad mine really is

It just requires practice. Here is a way to get better:

If you were wondering this is the game for the brackeys game jam /itch/moderategrade/one-bullet-biscuit

I love this pack and it is really well done, but in the license area it states 'not for commercial use', am I allowed to use this pack in a game jam, if not why? (just wondering)

You can use it in a game jam. Even if it has a cash prize i wouldn´t consider it to be a commercial use.

Thank you for your interest in the pack. Its really nice.

Good luck in your game jam

Thanks for the generosity.

what pixel ration in it ? some are 13x16 some are 12x16 ?

Objects/Props or Character/Enemies are not confined to a specific ratio. Tiles are usually 16x16, but there are exceptions

i have checked some character are 12x16, some are 13x16 ,

Wow, I can't believe how good this looks. So much good art and so cheap!

Hey ! I have add a new version of my game with this assets ! https://survival-outpost.vercel.app/

(+1)

Thank you! Again, really cool to see my assetpack being used somewhere

(+1)

Thank you for mirroring the animations! that was so helpful!

(+1)

Hi TheLazyStone,

I just wanted to say a big thank you for creating and sharing your asset pack on itch.io. It has been a huge help and inspiration in the development of my game.

I’m currently working on a project using your assets, and I’d love to show you the result once it’s finished (or even share a preview soon if you're interested). Would it be possible to get in touch with you directly for that?

Thanks again for your amazing work

(+1)

Thank you so much! Really glad it helped you.

As for getting in touch - i dont really use any social media, so if you dont mind, you could just drop a link for your game in here, or you could email it to me to: thelazieststone@gmail.com if you want to

Hi TheLazyStone,

Here’s a brief overview of the game mechanics and features:

Game Controls and Features

Text Input Areas

  • Navigation: Simply hover over a text input area with your mouse cursor to start typing. There's no need to click; just begin typing the letters you want to input.

In-Game Controls

  • Movement: Use the arrow keys to navigate and move around in the game.
  • Pause Menu: Press the Escape key to pause the game. This will bring up a menu where you can access various options, including game credits and saving your game progress.

Game Features

  • Credits: View the credits to see the contributors and resources that helped create the game.
  • Save System: You can save your current position and the state of your game world. This allows you to continue from where you left off at a later time.
  • Debug Panel: Access the debug panel to view and modify game settings such as seasons. This panel also displays your health and hunger bars, as well as the day-night cycle. Note that the weather system is currently not functional.
  • Editor: There is an editor tool available that allows you to view and modify your saved game data. This tool is useful for adjusting your player position and other game parameters.

And this is the link of the game, it's a web game made only with JavaScript without framework.

https://survival-outpost.netlify.app/

Thank you for sharing! Really cool to see my work being used somewhere.

Are there any ideas you plan to implement in the future?

Anyways, its really nice that you decided to share it with me

(+1)

Sorry for the late reply, I’m not currently at home.
Thank you so much for your feedback!

I have a lot of ideas for future updates. First, I’m planning to implement a full time system, including day/night cycles and seasons — spring, summer, autumn, and winter. I’d also love to add a procedural city generation system, but that will take quite some time, especially since I’m developing everything in plain JavaScript without any game engine. Procedural generation is proving to be quite a challenge!

Thanks again for your interest — it really motivates me to keep going.

(+2)

Hi! Beautiful work! I was wondering if there was some example maps or labels for the tilesets? If not no worries and thanks for providing such a detailed and expansive pack!

Hi. Thank you. Theres no example maps for this asset-pack. As for "labels for the tilesets" - do you mean something that describes what every tile is and how it is used? If so, then no, i dont have that either

(+1)

ah yes thats what I mean. no worries thanks for replying!

(+1)

Are you using a specific palette? Can you maybe share it? (only if its not too much work)

(+2)

There's no necessarily a specific strict palette, but i tried to collect every color i used in this pack in this png: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rhdh0jGsSACpU3ljJpPGeCz0H67-bF7X/view?usp=drive...

If you need it in another format or something like this feel free to ask

Guys I have a question. Some of the assets are separate pngs (not part of a tileset). If I add any of these, Godot creates a whole new sprite2D for each. But if I do it this way, I'll end up with thousands of sprite2Ds, and my nodes will look very cluttered. I'm still a beginner, and the internet isn't helping

(1 edit) (+1)

which assets exactly are you talking about? Usually you want to create scenes and use the scenes in your world-node. Its not uncommon to have tons of nodes in your scene-tree, especially for worlds.

If you want a more organized approach you can create a scene-collection in your tileset and store scenes of your sprites in there. This allows you to place those scenes just like you would with tiles.

Such a question should be asked on the Godot Forum though

for the player and zombie

can you make the animations for the left side? I have trouble flipping the animation around.

(1 edit)

I've mirrored the right facing animations, so there are now left versions of them in the pack as well

(+1)

Can you make the Fists also seperate? Otherwise its kind of annoying to switch between sprite with hands and sprite with no hands

(+2)

Yes, i already added them

(+1)

Wow you are really fast! Really love the asset-pack

Thank you!

(+1)

This looks really great. If I pay at least $2, I can use it for any commercial project, right? Including uploading my game to the Steam platform?

Yes, you can. Im really glad you liked it

wow! I can also modify it for use in my game, right? I won't resell it, just modify it for use in my game. If I pay for it. :)

Yes, of course

:) Thank you very much for your contribution! It's really beautiful and sophisticated.

so if i understand right if i use this asset pack in my free game on my page it's ok or is it because i have a donate button on my account I need a commericial license. I'm sorry if this a dumb question. I don't want to steal accidentally.

btw amazing level of detail

(+1)

Yes, it's totally okay to use the asset-pack in a free game on your page, even if you have a donation button. As long as the game itself isn't being sold or directly earning money (like through ads or in-app purchases), you dont need the commercial license. Thanks for asking!

(+1)

And its not a dumb question at all!

(+1)

i hope this gets updated with more enemy varieties and weapons! i would gladly pay for a premium pack

I work on updates and on add-on enemy and NPC packs rn. The weapons will come a bit later, though. Thanks for asking!

This asset pack looks suspiciously complete. I hope this is not the remnant of a failed project.

They are very interesting, thank you for making these assets available.

No, actually. I made it specifically as an asset-pack - not for my game.

Though, i have a lot of, as you said, remnants of a failed projects also)

(+1)

That's good to hear. I'm sorry about the other failed projects, I hope you can finish all the ones you want to. <3

(+1)

Beautiful stuff!
