DnD: Death and Dismemberment
Post Jam Update: Multiplayer!
DnD: Death & Dismemberment
Arcanum meets Hammerfight, with a side of Magicka.
Overview
DnD: Death & Dismemberment is a physics-driven top-down arena brawler set during a fantasy industrial revolution. Combat is built around momentum and commitment — weapons have real weight, swings must be earned, and mistakes are punished.
Rather than pressing an attack button, players control motion directly, using timing and positioning to overpower enemies. Limbs can be severed, changing the flow of combat in unpredictable ways.
Core Experience
-
Physics-based melee combat focused on momentum and timing
-
Heavy weapons that reward commitment and punish overextension
-
Dismemberment with mechanical consequences
-
Magic and technology supplementing brutal close-range combat
-
Arena-focused encounters built for repeated runs

How to get each Pet species:
The egg can hatch into 3 different pet types depending on what you do with it:
- Throw it at an enemy: Bonus to Aggression and Bug Type hatch chance
- Don't throw it but block an enemy attack with it: Bonus to Loyalty and Wolf Type hatch chance
- Don't do either of those but have it equipped as your offhand: Bonus to Discipline and Lizard Type hatch chance.
- Leave it in your stash: Bonus to Instinct and random species hatch chance.
If it hatches into the type you didn't want, talk to the Beast Vendor to release it into the wild and get a new egg. Once your pet reaches adult stage, the Beast Vendor offers the following services:
- Train Aggression: more likely to independently attack enemies
- Train Loyalty: more likely to follow and defend you
- Train Discipline: more threat/opportunity battlefield responsiveness
- Elemental Infusion: Adds an elemental damage type to attacks
One training session can be purchased between each battle, but elemental infusion is one-time per pet.
