Edit: I got the shuffles to 1,000 and dealt over 10,000 dmg, yes 10,000, to Zomboss. I think it's safe to say, I did, in fact, slay the Zomboss
Is there a proper discord server or community I could find that I can share my thoughts on?
It's a very rare bug and it seems to be happending locally depending on web, you can start new run to fix this, but if this happens to you often you can click dot + right mouse button to play next level and progress the map which will fix itself eventually.
Hurray, after some debugging I found a solution and this should never happen again.

nice, its a really fun game, although for some reason it sometimes doesnt let me do anything like exit shop or go to next place on map, is that a bug or just my computer?

Very impressive game, nicely done.
I noticed a couple of issues on a somewhat lengthy endless run:
1. Inactive pumpkin
Once you have 4 pumpkins in potted plants, 100% of armor is retained each round. However if you get a 5th, then realise it does nothing and remove it again, you end up with 4 but this time only 75% of armor is retained. And if you remove another to have 3, you keep only 50% where it should be 75%.
Flower pots do the same thing also with number of cards instead of armor retention.
2. Infinite armor
If you buy 4 magnet shrooms you steal 120% of zombie armor. This interacts strangely with the Z-Mech zombie who applies armor to himself when you gain armor. In a fight with the Mech zombie if either of you apply armor you both instantly gain NaN armor and it's impossible for anyone to die. The only way to continue the game here is to restart until you get a different opponent zombie.
3. Flower pots
They seem to stop working at around 8 cards and after that getting more flower pots does nothing, but you can still waste your money buying them anyway.
4. Marigold
The description says "For every 50 coins, it costs one less sun", however it seems to always cost 3 suns regardless of coins. Maybe this is not a bug and I simply don't understand what it means.
There were also some times where my armor would suddenly shoot up to 999, but I don't have any clue what it's related to, something about the magnet shroom as well I think.
Pumpkin and Flower pot are hard-code limited to not be too overpowered. Marigold thing indeed was a bug and it's getting fixed :) Same with magnet

Yes I understand the limit. But if you go above the limit and then down again it's suddenly too low.
It's like this:
Buy 4 pumpkins -> 100% retain
Buy 1 more to have 5 -> 100% retain (because of limit, ok)
Replace 1 to have 4 again -> 75% retain (now it's wrong)
And now you have 4 pumpkins but only 75% armor retention.
Acheivements you have already compleated do not count for perk unlocks, making some perks unobtainable if you have compleated a lot of acheivemnts, besideds that the update is good 👍
They count, but you have to die once or complete the run (This will trigger the unlocking system)
i'm experiencing an issue where occasionally cr dave's supply is unplayable. it shows up in hand as normal, but when i try to play it, it acts as if it isn't there and so like i'm clicking on either the card below it or the background when i try to click on it.

perk suggestions:
1. cards cant be sheeped
2. first time hit each battle take 5 less damage
3. after each battle gain 10 coins
4. the first card played each battle costs one less
5. you have one more pot slot
i feel like sheeped would be too weak, maybe altered by enemy effects instead.
The effect of cards not being able to be sheeped, or in generel not being able to be effected would just result in a part of the game getting removed. The wizard and octo zombie are in the game as a skill check. They make it so you have to keep more things in mind when making your deck, making it harder to play (for example) the cr. dave's supply infinite.
also found the best strategy, get just 1 crazy dave supply card and a doomshroom. play 15 crazy daves then doomshroom each tur
was just playing with the card that draws another card next turn, I upgraded it to zero cost then played like 15 of them and my game went haywire it was drawing more cards than in my deck duping them and wouldnt let me play any card

Things to polish:
Some zombie designs (like the little zombie) don't have the same resolution; they look pixelated.
In terms of animation, there's no animation.
in the fight against the screen door zombie if you have the bloomerang and the zombie has no shield when bloomerang activates you deal no damage (also the bloomerange effect sucks i suggest that you make it so it gives your attacks 20% splash )

Alerady broke the new update (with 4 cr dave supplies and 1 maybee) (I personally think that the shuffling system should go back to previous one but not duplicate dry out cards)
Oops, this might have been overlooked.
Cr. Dave Suppliers may be a little bit reworked to fix that problem.
how to go forever in endless:
first, get 2 infini-nuts, an imitator, a puffshroom, and a mushroom grotto. find an enemy that cant do more than 6 damage, set up both nuts, and then use the imitator to dry out everything except the grotto and puffshroom.
use the grotto over and over until you have a couple hundred reroll powerups. Any level can now be beaten by rerolling and spamming puffshroom.
once you have a lot of coins, find a potted chomper and a dr dave's supplier. Mow all your cards except the supplier. you can now beat any level just by spamming dr dave until the chomper kills everything.
(please dont remove this strategy, its a bit broken but it makes the game fun)

How come on mobile browser the buttons don’t work when I click on them? Pressing the news button brings up the update log and I am able to scroll on it but the buttons to start game, almanac, ect dont work. I tried it on google and DuckDuckGo neither one worked. Is it not compatible on mobile?

I mainly use Construct 2 for game creation and Krita for art. Krita is free, construct 2 is technically free but paid for more advanced version, but if you search you can get around it.

so question i just made it to world 2 and i get its hardcore style one life so my question is if you die in world 2 is it game over or does atleast world 2 save and start from there ?
World 2 is a late-game continuity of world 1, so if you die in world 2 you start over from world 1.

Unfortunately you have to re-download, there is no option for automatic update. But on the good side, all your progress will be saved across the versions :)

Anyway, there is summary of more tips for you based on your gameplay :)
Use protection on higher priority than attack cards.
Save money for better purcharches. (Like Potted Plants)
You can hover over enemies to see thier special ability.
It is better to upgrade your cards in houses, rather than healing in all of them when almost max hp.

one final thing for now dont wanna be annoying but for someone who has never played this type of game there should be a checkpoint system insted of perma death but i get it part of the experience
It's rogue-like type of game so perma death is kinda required. The classic checkpoint system doesn't fit. The better design would be to add more variety when starting the run through different ways and I am trying to explore this idea.

Steam is out for many different reasons.
1. This game would be copyrighted to hell. (You can't post fangames based on valuable franchise on steam)
2. It's too expensive and not worth it even if it was legally possible

Edit: If the game is too hard for you, you can always play on custom mode, where you can make a lot of adjustments, including number of hp.

Well... As a maker I think it's more than enough, but yeah if you will learn more combos or strategies the game will be much easier.
Some tips for combos:
Pumpkin + Infinut
PuffShroom + Wasabi Whip
Buying Aloe early and healing every battle

just noticed that double attacks are a lot broken it keeps moving back and messing up other zombies health and softlocks the level. just informing you :)
Hi, just tested this and it seems fine. Could you provide more details, which Specific Zombie it was or/if any plants were used before?
it was in the custom mode. works fine in regular. it was both the pharaoh zombie and the chicken zombie. I don't think the plants made a difference, it was a mix.
never mind its fixed now I must have been mid update or something.
although a way to delete only certain runs from the stats would be better than all or none.
Also here are some events:
1. choose a plant to get +3 damage
2. add freeze to a attacker
3. gain a one time use powerup stored on the side for free i.e.
1. 3 freezes
2. a full damage protection for one turn
3. a 15-damage attack

2. Spore Shroom (plant)

when played: do 4 damage and gain a Dry-Up 1 cost spore shroom
3. Spikeweed (potted)
start of each turn do 3 damage to each zombie
4. dandy lion (plant)
Dry-Up when played: attack for half their health
5. Healer Zombie (zombie)
can heal 10 as a play
6. Moonflower (plant)
0 cost
when played gain Shadow effect
7. Murkidamia Nut
cost: 2
gain 5 defense
Shadow: do 5 damage
8. Dusk Lobber
cost: 2
do 6 damage
Shadow: do 6 to all zombies
9. Shadow Shroom
cost: 2
apply Poison 2
Shadow: apply Poison 2 to all zombies
10. Dragon Imp
immune to fire
can apply Burn 4 as an attack
Shadow: adds buffs to other cards while active
Poison: deals damage for the rest of the game
And
11. Snapdragon
deal burn 4 to all zombies
Woah! Nice ideas. Shadow family is something I never thought on, but it could work!
So, I found a bug... I don't know exactly what triggered it or if you've already found & fixed it in a newer version, but I still felt the need to share this. This happened on my first ever run and it went like this:
1: Zombie Battle. Got Infi-Nut
2: (Fork Path; top choice) Zombie Battle. Got Endurian
3: Shop. Got Fire Pea
4: Unknown Event. Car Shop (didn't buy anything)
5: (Fork Path; top choice) Unknown Event. Vasebreaker (Healed from 45 to 50)
6: Zombie Battle. Got Torchwood
7: Unknown Event. Evolutionary Leap (Converted one Peashooter to an Infi-Nut)
The next space I was going to land on was a "House" space, but when the UI for the previous "Unknown Event" went away, the House icon never un-greyed. I couldn't click on it, or any other tile, and the only thing I could interact with was the Deck Button and the Options Icon (everything in the main menu worked as well). Beginning a new run fixed it, but still a very strange bug.
I do like the game still. There's a LOT of potential in this, and I'm curious to see how many cards will be in the game at the end of the road!

Also, if you encounter any more map soft lock related bugs you can click ( . + RMB) (dot plus right mouse button) to trigger next level automatically.
Heya this is an amazing game. I mean Its "So cool" =).
But I do wonder do you have any idea if you will make any other "Floors" or will it just be the one and will you add any other Bosses/Plants to the game cuz I have a few ideas. But besides that, I'm just saying this is the most fun I had on here for a while.
I have a full list of ideas for World 2, a little spoiler - Zomboss boss battle (as title says lol). I just would need more time to do it, but yeah its on planning list. Maybe around Summer?
Also, if you have any Plants/Zombie ideas you can post them. They could get added :)
Ok So here they are, here are the ideas
Fire Pea: it can act kind of like a DOT effect like X DMG initially and then X over X Turns
Fume Shroom: okay two ideas for this one. One, can pass Shield/defense and hits all zombies on field for some Dmg, Or B. You play it and the next card you use passes Defense.
Zombies
Flag Zombie: If not killed fast enough "Summons a Wave of Zombies" (Limit pool to prob only things like, Imp, Basics, Cone, Bucket, Screen. for early "Floors")
Explorer Zombie: Can If hit do the DMG over time effect, and/or Can "Burn" Cards making them unplayable and stay in the discard pile till the end of the fight. If ice pea or iceberg lettuce is played on him he loses his fire and is a basic.
Zombie Yeti: Elite Idea? So, more Concepts for things than anything, One Immune to freeze for well...I mean it should be clear why, and he could have a thing where he can Freeze a Random card in your hand to act like he is "Freezing" your attacks like how Ice pea Stops A zombie from attacking.
And yeah, those are my ideas that are more Grounded So I will leave more if you want but these are the ones I am full done with thinking and am proud of so off into the Void i go to play Uno with W.D. Goodbye.
