Laney, this won't make you happier
Explore a monochrome world as The Dilettante: a shapeshifter who can appear as anything, but struggles to be much of anything.
This is a “jumping and spikes” game with no explicit goal or ending. Your progress is autosaved locally.
Controls
| Action | Keyboard | Gamepad |
| Left / Right | Left / Right | D-Pad Left / Right |
| Jump | Z | Bottom Face Button |
| Orb | X | Left Face Button |
| Rebind controls (keyboard and gamepad) | 1 | - |
| Erase all progress | Backspace | - |
Racing / Timers
Toggle a timer display by pressing [T] on the keyboard. The timer has two modes.
Because the game has no ending, nothing will cause the timer to stop, but you can use it to race your friends towards a chosen goal.

incredible collective problem solving!
This game is amazing! I absolutely love the movement
this game is crazy cool. did you get sharing 1 tile with neighboring screens from pre-release stuff i said about derelict star or did we independently discover that?

Sorry! That’s a debug feature I forgot to remove, thank you for letting me know, it is removed now. Holding “X” while screen transitioning is how I created new levels while working on the game.
The neighbouring tiles in this game are actually just duplicated (i.e. all screen transitions are 2 tiles wide/tall). The way you did it in Derelict Star is genius, I wish I’d thought of your solution!
Thanks for playing, I really love Derelict Star & all your other games 🙂
This game is huge!
This game is really neat but the scarcity of checkpoints makes it really frustrating.
