‘Summon a Sweetheart’ is a short visual novel-esque game, about a depressed loser named Penelope. She gets so lonely… that she summons an eldritch monster to be her girlfriend. Unfortunately, she didn’t read the fine print. She needs a gift, and she needs one fast! Surely, her depression cave of a room should have something, right? I’m sure this won’t go wrong at all!
In other words: give the monster lady gifts that suck, and have cruel and unusual things happen to you as a result.

- Depictions of severe depression.
- Brief descriptions of mild body horror and very mild gore.
- Mentions and depictions of suicidality.

- Possibly around 20ish minutes of gameplay, if you get every ending. It could be less than 5 minutes if you get a quick one!
- A very rudimentary "crafting" system, with 2 special items to craft.
- Several piles of trash and filth to rummage through .
- Unfunny jokes.

I was so excited when I saw this posted on twitter. The description got me so excifed and oh my gGOD when i opend the game the MUSIC OH MY GOD HTE MUSIC IS SO AMAZING I LOVE IT. AND THE COLOR PALETTE?? ANDTHE CONCEPT OH MY GOD FOR A SHORT VISUAL NOVEL GAME I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
I got all ten endings and honestly the way that Penelope depicted is so beautiful to me. An embodiment of someone who can do nothing but cope in such awful ways to the point of feeling inhuman combined with someone who isn't human is such a good combination and ending 6? oh my god the codependency penelope doesn't have a real humant o understna dor help her because everyone elese has left or is just gone and i genuinely shed tears galatea is really just a sit in and even though it seems like something new all the 'again and again' stuff amkes me realize that it'll just become another part of the cycle oh ym godd im so ill im so ill i mso ill and the neutral ending feelign somewhat sufficient when its actualy not a true emotional bond
the music feels very nostalgic and penelope genuinely feels so real to me
This was an amazing game and im still crying
From the customization (keyboard configuration) at the very start, to the art, to the music that plays throughout the whole story, there is a huge amount of effort put into just a "silly practise" game. The idea is a neat and original one, and its execution was even better. Although short, the experience was a memorable one.
God this game hit me in all the feels, this is beautiful stuff

Like a comic or anything hell yeah bro. I wonder if it would be allowed to make a bit of a fan AU aftermath after one of the endings (Coping with the fact penelope won't have a "good ending" but it perhaps is just mundane life stuff after the sugar related endings).

THIS WAS SO FUN AND AWESOME!!! thank you thank you thank you for making this game ToT it was so fun and they were both so pretty (both character design + art style) I also really liked the color pallet and detail and stuff. It's always fun to happen upon an artist that I like on another platform like I watch ur content on YT but didn't expect to find a videogame! Hope you keep making more ^-^

Really good and impressive game! I love the designs sooo much, especially how you leant into the monstrous aspects. Also "proud?" to report I got the "good" ending first try!!! (mostly because I didn't realize you could walk behind the book to speak with her/offer the gift but shhh) and I will say, as cliche as it sounds, I think its my favorite ending!!! They shared about themselves, it was so cute!!! Also, as someone who is seixure-prone TYSM for including a flashing lights toggle TuT
How do i play on mac? i unzipped it and i got the folder, i then tried opening "game" and it didn't work, i even tried putting it in applications but that didn't work either.
You can try playing it on the browser itself, I didn't encounter any glitches and the game works perfectly well
this game was amazing, it kinda reminds me of sucker for love can never get enough of either tho :3

Hi there! On Mac, I'm getting a "The application 'Game' can't be opened" error despite re-downloading and re-starting.
I tried running the Windows version via Whiskey but got another error. Just reporting that one because the screen told me to:
Hm... I use windows, so I wouldn't be able to check this error in real time myself- but, from a quick search, it looks like maybe it's something with the way the newer mac OS processes the graphics? You'd have to look into it a bit, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to be of much help.

it's comedic, wholesome, and has a pretty interesting, but really chilling moments, I really enjoyed it!

This is such a chill and fun visual novel to play. I absolutely loved all the different endings and glad to have covered this. It being a first game is really impressive as well! Everything from the art style and the narrative. I look forward to playing your future games! :)
