In-Game Background/Story
You awaken in a cold, damp cave, your mind swirling and your memories scattered…

In Alchemist’s Alcove, you play as a nameless traveler, trapped in a mysterious pocket dimension known as the Alcove.
Using only the elements in the world around you, you must craft spells and tools in order to reach the Altar and gain your freedom!
Key Features:
- Simple but deep crafting system
- Turn-based, grid-based combat
- Open world with hidden secrets
- Hundreds of items and recipes
- Warring enemy factions
- Permadeath

Gameplay
In Alchemist’s Alcove, the only progression the player earns is knowledge. As they discover new recipes, they learn new ways to create powerful weapons, harness life-saving spells, and optimize runs to their full potential.
Recipes are stored in the player's notebook, which can be saved between runs in the "Enlightened" difficulty, started empty in the "Blind" difficulty, or ignored entirely in the "True Blind" difficulty.
Guided by a compass, the player must craft the Philosopher's Stone and bring it to the Altar in order to escape the Alcove, fighting their way through hordes of enemies along the way!

Congrats on the new release! The gameplay style has 90's charm!
can you release the mac version on steam? I'd like to play there for the achievements, please ❤️ thank you
Unfortunately I think a Mac version on Steam will need to wait, I don't have a way to reliably test Mac builds at the moment and I can update fixes much easier on itch.io than on Steam :(
