π TileMaker DOT v2.0: The "Pro Workflow" Update
Hello everyone!
Today is a massive day for TileMaker DOT. What started as a personal tool to help me build my own game has grown into a powerful editor that Iβm now ready to share as a full, professional release.
Version 2.0 isn't just a small patch; itβs a complete overhaul of how you interact with your game worlds. From aesthetic changes to deep technical improvements, this version is built for speed and stability.
π Dark Mode is Here
You asked, and I listened! You can now toggle between Light and Dark modes directly in the app. Whether youβre working in a bright office or a late-night dev cave, the UI now adapts to your comfort.

β‘ Professional Workflow Tools
- The Sprite Sheet Importer: Stop manual slicing! Import a sheet, and TileMaker DOT will help you slice, name, and ID your assets in seconds.
- Chunk Selection & Painting: Need to move a whole house or a specific forest patch? You can now select entire "chunks," duplicate them, or even export them to reuse in other projects.
- Dynamic Brushes: Iβve added a Brush tool with adjustable spread. Select a few tree or rock variations and "paint" them naturally across your map without that "grid-like" repetitive look.
π οΈ Stability & Engine Readiness
- Deterministic ID Generator: No more broken maps. The new ID system ensures that your assets keep their identity across different sessions and exports.
- Hot-Reload (F5): Add new PNGs to your folders while the app is open and refresh instantly.
