hi! love the game, i've been playing it on and off for 2 years! i'm stuck on a quest and i feel like i'm just completely missing something obvious. anyway, i've been tasked to check out the ghost sighting, i go and the ghost wants me to investigate the grave, i feel like i've tried everything but i can't "investigate" it! admittedly i haven't tried digging in it since i believe i still have a shovel. any help is appreciated, and thanks for making this great game!
edit: i figured it out, i realized that i left out of this comment that it was displaying as "freshly dug grave" which is why i didnt bother digging in it to begin with! that might've been a bug or something, not sure.
Hello, it's awesome that you've liked the game! I did some digging in the code, the freshly dug grave spawns after talking to the ghost. It's not very logical but there doesn't seem to be any bugs related to it. Perhaps it should have been named to something else, like "suspicious grave" or something like that to signify it better.
ah good so its not a bug, thank you for the reply!
Hey hey having a blast so far. Is there a walk trough or a guide if one gets stuck? I am currently struggeling with finidng the burried treasure.

I found the farm and defeated all the bad people (there is only one level right?)
I think I also found the tree, do I need to have a shovel?
Awesome!
There aren't any guides as far as I know. It's a fairly straightforward game though so that quest is probably as hard as it gets.
That location has just one level.
You need a shovel, there are a couple of places in the game where you need one in addition to that place.
Thank you so much - always great to be in contact with devs!
Dude, like, wtf! I was playing this game many years ago, and all of the sudden, randomly: I have remembered how cool it was. My fave roguelike is DCSS, but this seems to not make any correlation with what i'm about to say: Dude. This game is something else, dude! I felt things i never felt before in any-fukken-game. Dude. This is a masterpiece. Unknown masterpiece. I was enjoying it so much. Too much. Dude. So, when i randomly remembered this game (today) - i was like - "WTF DUDE, How was this game called??". I remembereed it getting link from roguebasin, but i'm tottally blanked out on the game name. So, I scrolled through all of the games at roguebasin listed... AND I FOUND IT. It flashbacked me like a muthafuka. God dayum dude! This game is something else. I remember enjoying it so fucken much! And guess what? It still hold on. I just played it - and it felt so fucken good man. The mix of dark/gentle humour, unique aesthethics and all the shit, dude! I was exalted! Like i found a holy relict amongst the shit piles dude! You are a great game dev. I wish you all the luck. This game is really inspiring. I want to make my game "like this one", like Temple of Torment. But i will not try, due to sheer respect to you dude (author). Playing this game felt like a... Like... IDK like what - like the divine experence of one of the best games i was playing ever. Dude.
Thank you very much for your feedback, I'm very happy that the game has an impact on people :). Feel free to be inspired by this for your own game :).
Dude.
Seems interesting, especially now with the new version, but looks like Windows Defender immediately flags it as having some severe malware (Trojan:Win32/Sabsik.FL.A!ml). Anyone else get this?
Thanks for reporting this, this was an issue in the past as well and I had to send the game to Microsoft in order to sort it out as a false flag. I'll do it again.
I got the following response from Microsoft:
"At this time, the submitted files do not meet our criteria for malware or potentially unwanted applications. The detection has been removed."
Can't start game gives this error in log:

Hey, sounds like it's a side effect from me shutting down the server, you can modify the conf.txt file to set the Online Features from Enabled to Disabled and see if it helps.
It works! Thanks!
what even were the Online features and why was the server closed?
There were online lists of deaths and victories together with the inventory the character had, the game also spawned graves for characters that died in the same floor. I felt like there were diminishing returns for having those features in a game that's free so I stopped paying for the hosting services. Implementing that stuff was relevant to my studies as well so it felt natural at the time being.
Enjoying the game so far! I like the ultima-like feel to it, but I feel like there's a few room for control and quality of life improvements.
First, make sure your money is displayed on all screens where you can buy or sell things.
As well, it's hard to track what is happening in combat on the screen. This is not easy to fix with the roguelike presentation, but since you can have multiple characters fighting multiple characters - it might help to slow down the turn-by-turn action somehow.
As hunger and thirst are important, perhaps make sure every settled place has a well, perhaps some opportunities to get both rest and a meal for cheap.
The exit to each settlement should be more clearly marked on the map.
Increase quick links using the mouse - clicking to use rations for food, water for thirst, and potions for healing would be handy.
this is such a cool game !!
Great job!
Thanks!
It says this game supports linux. But there's a windows executable in the download.
You can play it with wine.
You can't! It's running in 1 fps.
Sadly there are some issues on some machines :(. Works fine on my computer with a Linux Mint on VirtualBox.
