Blender 5.1 Tips and Tricks
A downloadable project
Hello!
I recently picked up Blender 5.1. As a professional who spent most of his 3D Modelling life in 3DS Max, I felt quite lost when seriously opening Blender again after 20 years. Wow. Time flies.
Over time I found out that something that works well for me when approaching new software, is to actually take things slow and focus on the fundamentals.
- Start with a simple goal
- Struggle through the process to get there
- Learn where things are, how the software thinks along the way
- Document every step
That last part is more important than it might seem. It’s incredibly easy to forget that one checkbox hidden in a submenu, or to miss a parameter that needs to be enabled before adjusting something else, especially when switching frequently between different tools.
Or maybe I'm just getting old, and this granpa here needs his reminders everywhere :D
