Hey gang,

It's been five years — well, a bit more than that — since we released Trash the Planet. On behalf of all of us at This Game Is Haunted, thank you so much for playing our game! Time marches onward, but I remain very grateful that we came together to bring this project to life.

I wrote a reflection on the game's five-year anniversary and what I'm coming to see as its legacy over on my personal blog. You can read that post here, if you'd like.

Since its release, Trash the Planet has been played close to 100,000 times. I still can't comprehend that number; it seems unreal. Our marketing budget was effectively zero dollars, and I'm still pretty terrified of promoting things I contribute to online, so the only thing that makes sense is: you. You cared about our game enough to recommend it to your IRL friends and to strangers on forums, on podcasts and in essays. We made this game because it meant a lot to us; I am so glad that it means something to many of you, too.
