I misread the title of the game and thought it was a game where you pinch the German Dictator during World War II. But at least it's just a little video game about baseball instead so that is good!
Loving this! Moving an item from the shop into a currently equipped slot moves that item to the shop, better than deleting it but was a bit confusing the first time.
this is such a wonderful idea. you really translated the elements of baseball into deckbuilder mechanics well. would love to play an expanded version of this in the future too
Really Great Game. I've made it to 7 out of 9 so far.
However, there seems to be a bug, or at least a mistake in the necromancer. The description says it "summons a 1-point skeleton on each empty base when he STEPS UP TO BAT." However, it seems to only summon these skeletons when he GETS A HIT. If he strikes out, no skeletons are summoned
Mr. BaseBaal seems to be looping and not giving the final end game reward... Or the credits...
Fun Stuff: Shy Guy + Ultimate Bat = Babe Ruth Slayer... I'm not kidding, Just use this combo to complete to 20-point round requirement.
DO NOT REPLACE THE DREAMER = Evolves into the Dream
So long as you do not sell off your LAST DAN; he will become the only Dan with a 75% chance to hit. Give him the holy bat to smash it every game.
There are other combo's I have yet to discover to unlock other players. Would be kind of awesome if Shy-Guy changes into something brilliant if given the worse piece of equipment.
I'm glad you like it! Due to time constraints from the jam, we didn't have to time to add credits or anything, so beating Mr. BaseBall once is basically winning.
I think this legit the most hooked Ive gotten on a game in about a year. Awesome job.
Note to developer: There is a bug that can be triggered (I think) if the character that steals second base, steals it while someone is getting home. Im not entirely sure this is what triggers it, but I have encountered the bug twice, both times while a base was being stolen. I have uploaded screenshots her. Hopefully it helps in some capacity.
I got The Dream and Starman before getting soft locked on BaseBaal. Playing browser version so I dont have any files, though it did say it "opened logs" wasnt anything in help about sending em or where to find em, but I hope someone helps you find em soon lol
I had just changed Cheerful Charlie for the Yeti, she really carried the team through some tough times, but as you can see it had just evolved beyond her services lol I suppose it was destiny after finally cutting the long held never at bat Mascot for Starman shortly before
10/10 would manage a team of misfits to conquer the devil in basebaal again
Holy Basebaal, this game is insanely good, it's absolutely oozing with personality. I love how the characters have lines referencing what's going on in game, and a ton of fun designs. I gasped when the dreamer transformed into The Dream. This was so well done. My only caveat would be that the early game is a bit too difficult as it's easy to lose to RNG in the first 2 or 3 rounds, and late game I was able to put together an infinite combo a bit too easily (Starman + The Dream with Ogre bat). Maybe adding some anti-combo mechanics to the later bosses would help this. Amazing game, hope to see more from this!
First run, I boosted shy guy with chain then gave him ultimate bat so he hits 150% and runs 6-12, then I put starman on first, use comfy boy to get him to third, then score with shy guy and repeat. Baal has repeated once, so I think I've beaten the game with this build?
managed to achieve the same setup by sending out ultimate bat starman first and then alternating with ultimate bat shy guy and him haha, only time i had shy guy dip below 100% accuracy was when i purposely messed up the strat to try and evolve the dream

Fun little game! Starman and Yeti OP (kept original Dave the whole way through)
Game froze VS Baphomet looking guy. Had the Dream and star guy on a plate, then sleepy guy with 108% accuracy just got a hit.
Very fun game. I do wish there was a more definitive ending, or maybe an additional mode after completing, but getting "The Dream" was certainly fun.

but at the end, it's not Mr. Baseball, it's Basebaal... 1 l at the end... Unless that was intentional.

Ah.... Alright, still disappointed there is no Credits, but this could be expanded upon, artwork is good, could do a campaign, etc.
Still; if this was done for a jam and ya don't wanna do it again; you and your team, if any, did a good job with this.
Once you have both Starman and The Dream and give them both an Ogre Bat it's just alternating between those two to win. Fun game though!

Got the Original Dave to his final form and he carried my team. The only thing that could stop us was the Actual Real Babe Ruth ™

Beat 6 out of 9. Eyes made The Dreamer unstoppable and he evolved into The Dream. So proud of him.
