New version released! | FCAV 1304.98 ChangeLog

New version have been released: 1304.98

Changelog for FCAV Version 1304.98

  • Added a fully functional true reflex sight system (collimators) powered by procedural rendering mathematics for realistic dynamic collimator behavior.
  • Reworked multiple material and shader passes that could previously place unnecessary load on the main CPU core; optimization and rewriting efforts are still ongoing.
  • Water reflections have been restored, with a current disclaimer regarding increased load on the primary CPU thread while further optimizations are in progress.
  • Fixed original weapon-pass mathematical inaccuracies that caused subtle weapon micro-shaking and matrix instability when weapons were positioned close to the camera.
  • Camera calculations have been fully migrated from vector-based math to quaternion-based processing, significantly improving long-term precision and eliminating cumulative rotational errors.
  • Players can now safely switch keyboard language layouts during gameplay without side effects, including seamless multilingual chat support in multiplayer.
  • Throwable weapons now feature significantly improved physics behavior: projectiles can realistically shatter glass surfaces, with progressive speed and damage loss through each successive breakable layer.
  • Continued major improvements to subtle micro-stutters caused by heavy real-time shader loading; approximately 80% of these issues have been resolved so far.
  • Added advanced customizable HUD controls, allowing players to independently toggle and adjust various HUD elements.
  • Fixed numerous rendering bottlenecks and additional hidden performance drains across multiple engine systems.
  • Resolved night vision rendering issues where first-person weapons incorrectly produced visual glare over flares and bright light sources.
  • Further rendering work continues on resolving similar visual conflicts involving weapon smoke under night vision conditions.
  • Sun flare behavior has been significantly improved: large solar flares no longer disappear abruptly with minimal camera movement, resulting in smoother and more natural visual transitions.
  • Enhanced fade-in and fade-out behavior for smaller flare sources such as lamps and dynamic lights.
  • Editor stability has been substantially improved, reducing crashes and severe low-FPS behavior during early-stage usage.
  • General engine stability, rendering consistency, and workflow reliability continue to improve across all core systems.
  • Added smart sway feature, now when you're holding the breath, weapon sway will smoothly reduce.
  • And many more small yet critical engine fixes and improvements. Stay tuned for future updates!
