Hi all. It’s been a while.

I noticed that the previous posts didn’t have my current recommendations on how to fix this issue, so I decided to rewrite the post to streamline it and delisted the original posts. This is also now listed in bold on all Novetus download pages.

In Windows 11 and later versions of Windows 10, the current stable version may ​cause a “Operation canceled by user” error. There are two ways to fix this:

​1 - Add the entire Novetus folder to Windows Defender’s exceptions. This issue is caused by Novetus not launching the clients/applications properly (according to Windows), resulting in Windows Defender closing the client/application. 2 - This issue was fixed in the snapshot builds. if the Windows Defender fix doesn’t work, ​download the “Snapshot” version listed in the downloads.
